Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up DNS Records for Your Site with NameCheap

1. Access NameCheap Account:

Log in to your NameCheap account.

2. Access Domain List:

From the dashboard, navigate to the left-hand side of the page and select 'Domain List'.

3. Select Domain:

In the Domain List, locate the domain you want to use. Click on the 'Manage' option next to the domain name.

4. Access Advanced DNS Settings:

In the Domain Management page, locate and select the 'Advanced DNS' tab.

5. Add New CNAME Record:

Here, locate and click on '+ ADD NEW RECORD'. From the dropdown menu, select 'CNAME'.

6. Enter CNAME Record Details:

In the 'Host' field, enter 'www'. In the 'Target' field, enter 's.multiscreensite.com'. Select the Time to Live (TTL) from the dropdown menu - the default is recommended.

7. Save CNAME Record:

Click the green 'Save Changes' button.

8. Add First 'A' Record:

Click on '+ ADD NEW RECORD' again. This time, select 'A' from the dropdown menu. In the 'Host' field, enter '@'. In the 'Target' field, enter '35.172.94.1'. Choose the TTL (the default is recommended).

9. Save First 'A' Record:

Click the 'Save Changes' button.

10. Add Second 'A' Record:

Click '+ ADD NEW RECORD' once more, and again select 'A' from the dropdown. In the 'Host' field, enter '@'. This time, in the 'Target' field, enter '100.24.208.97'. Select TTL (the default is recommended).

11. Save Second 'A' Record:

Click 'Save Changes' to complete the process.

Note: Your custom domain will now direct to your website. Although this might occur swiftly, it can take up to 48 hours for your registrar to propagate these new DNS settings. Please allow for this full period before attempting to modify your settings again.
