Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up DNS Records for Your Site with GoDaddy
1. Access GoDaddy Account:
Log into your GoDaddy account.
2. Access Domain Control Center:
Click on 'Domain Control Center' within your GoDaddy account.
3. Choose the Domain:
Select the domain you're using to proceed to the Domain Settings page.
4. Manage DNS Settings:
Navigate to 'Additional Settings' and select 'Manage DNS'.
5. Add CNAME Record:
Under 'Records', select 'Add'. For the 'Type', choose 'CNAME'. For the 'Name', enter 'www'. For 'Value', enter 's.multiscreensite.com'. Under 'TTL', select a timeframe (1 hour) and click 'Save'.
6. Add First A Record:
Under 'Records', select 'Add' again. For the 'Type', choose 'A'. For the 'Name', enter '@'. For 'Value', enter '35.172.94.1'. Under 'TTL', select a timeframe (1 hour) and click 'Save'.
7. Add Second A Record:
Under 'Records', select 'Add' once more. For the 'Type', choose 'A'. For the 'Name', enter '@'. For 'Value', enter '100.24.208.97'. Under 'TTL', select a timeframe (1 hour) and click 'Save'.
Note: Your custom domain will now direct to your website. Although this might occur swiftly, it can take up to 48 hours for your registrar to propagate these new DNS settings. Please allow for this full period before attempting to modify your settings again.
