The Facebook pixel is one of the most useful tools in your marketing arsenal. These short few lines of code will allow you to track conversions, gather and analyze data from your Facebook ads, and build targeted audiences for remarketing purposes. This allows you to effectively target prospects no matter how much or how little they interacted with a previous advertisement.
Our company requires you to have a Facebook pixel for your business before beginning your Facebook Ads campaign.
Create a New Facebook Pixel
Log in to your Facebook Business Manager Account.
On the left side menu, click on All tools.
In the new menu, go to Advertise. Then, click Events Manager.

You will now have the Create Pixel menu on the screen. Enter a name for your pixel. Then, click Create Pixel.
Installing the Facebook Pixel
There are two potential methods for adding a Facebook pixel to a website. One is through manually adding code, and the alternative is through 3rd-party integration.
Installing Code Manually
Navigate to the pixel created in the steps above and click ‘Continue Pixel Setup.’
Choose ‘Install Code Manually.’
You will receive a few lines of code. Copy this code.
Log in to your website editor. Locate the header section within your website editor. This code must go beneath all of the header code, but above the closing header tag which looks like this: </header> or </head>. Save the changes.
From Facebook, select ‘Continue.’ You will have some advanced options to toggle in regards to the Event Setup Tool. If there is nothing to set up, select ‘Done.’
Installing Using a 3rd-Party Integration
Use the above instructions until Step 2. Choose ‘Use a Partner.’
If the partner you are using is supported, they will appear on the list. Click on the partner and follow the specific instructions. If your partner is not present, you must install the code manually.
