Google Analytics is necessary for a variety of different marketing services including SEO and Google Ads. For our SEO service, you may provide user access to your existing Google Analytics account.

How to Grant Access to Google Analytics

Here’s how to provide access to your Google Analytics account in a few easy steps:

  1. Log in to your Google Analytics account.

  2. In the top left, you will see ADMIN and USER. Click on ADMIN.

  3. Then, using the dropdowns, select the account, property, and view that you are attempting to provide access to.

  4. Under each column, you can select Account Access, Property Access, or View Access to share. In most cases, Property Access will suffice.

Go to the center column and click Property Access Management.

  5. Click the blue + in the top right corner. Then, select Add Users.

  6. Enter the following email address: [email protected]

  7. Select ‘Notify new users by email.’

  8. Select the role for the user. Typically, Editor permissions should suffice, but please verify with your fulfillment representative before sending the invitation.

  9. Finally, click Add.

Regaining Access to Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a product of Google, which means that the Google Analytics account should be linked to the Google account you originally used to create the Google Analytics accounts. Try logging into that Google account and then navigating to https://analytics.google.com/.

What Happens When I Cannot Regain Access?

If you cannot find the Analytics account within your personal Google account and have no ideas where else to look, you may need to have the marketing team create a new Google Analytics account for you and replace the existing analytics code on the site.

The only issue with doing this is that any historical data that had been generated by the original tracking code will not transfer over to the new Google Analytics account, essentially tracking from scratch.
