Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up DNS Records for Your Site with Ionos
1. Access Ionos Account:
Log in to your Ionos hosting account.
2. Navigate to Domains Section:
In the Control Panel, find and click on the 'Domains' section.
3. Select Desired Domain:
Locate your desired domain. Click the gear icon under 'Actions' and select 'DNS'.
4. Add CNAME Record:
Click 'Add Record', select 'CNAME', and input the following information:
Hostname: www
Points to: s.multiscreensite.com
Save your changes.
5. Delete Existing A Records:
Return to your DNS list and delete any existing A records by clicking on the gear icon next to the record and selecting 'Delete Record'.
6. Add A Record (First Instance):
Click 'Add Record', select 'A' as the Type, and input the following information:
Host Name: @
Points to: 35.172.94.1
Save your changes.
7. Add A Record (Second Instance):
Click 'Add Record' again, select 'A' as the Type, and input the following information:
Host: @
Points to: 100.24.208.97
Save your changes.
Note: Your custom domain will now direct to your website. Although this might occur swiftly, it can take up to 48 hours for your registrar to propagate these new DNS settings. Please allow for this full period before attempting to modify your settings again.
