Step-By-Step Guide to Setting up a Custom Domain for Your Funnel With BlueHost

1. Access Bluehost DNS Zone Editor:

Depending on the interface you are using (Rock or Account Manager), the steps to access the Zone Editor differ:

For Account Manager:

  1. Log in to your BlueHost Account Manager.

  2. Click the Domain Name tab from the side navigation menu on the left.

  3. Expand the Advanced Tools section by clicking ˅.

  4. You will have the option to manage Nameservers (DNS) or Advanced DNS Records. Click MANAGE next to Advanced DNS Records.

For Bluerock:

  1. Log in to your Bluehost control panel.

  2. Click the Domains tab from the side navigation menu on the left.

  3. Next to the domain name you wish to update, click the ▼ icon next to Manage, then choose DNS from the drop-down menu that appears.

2. Add a New Record in BlueHost DNS Zone Editor:

After accessing the DNS Zone Editor, follow these steps to add the DNS settings copied from DashClicks:

For Account Manager:

  1. Click the + ADD RECORD button.

  2. Choose the Record Type (in this case, CNAME and TXT).

  3. Set the TTL (time to live) as per the instructions given by DashClicks.

  4. Click on the ADD button to create the record.

For Bluerock:

  1. Scroll down to locate the record type you wish to update, and click the Add Record button.

  2. In the Host Record field, paste the host copied from DashClicks.

  3. In the Points To field, paste the value copied from DashClicks.

  4. Leave the TTL field at its default setting.

  5. Click on the Save button to add the record.

Repeat these steps for all the DNS settings copied from DashClicks (one CNAME and two TXT records).

5. Validate Domain Configuration:

Return to DashClicks and press the 'Validate Domain Configuration' button. This should validate the domain, confirming that the DNS records have been configured properly. If successful, you'll see that the domain and SSL statuses show 'Connected'. If not, double check the DNS records and repeat the steps as necessary.

Note: DNS records may take 24–48 hours to update across the entire internet. Different internet users may get different results when they try to visit or use your site during that time.
