Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up Your Custom Dashboard Domain with Ionos

1. Access Ionos:

Log into your Ionos account.

2. Navigate to Manage Domain:

Located in the middle of the screen, select 'Manage Domain'.

3. Access DNS Settings:

From the navigation menu, choose 'DNS'.

4. Add Record:

Select the option 'Add Record'.

5. Choose Record Type:

Click on 'CNAME'.

6. Add Subdomain Prefix:

In the 'Host Name' field, add a prefix for your subdomain. The prefix is what appears before the original domain name. For example, if you were configuring the domain for dash.mydomain.com, you would input 'dash' in the 'Host Name' field.

7. Input Value:

In the 'Points To' field, enter 's.dashboardmode.com'.

8. Leave TTL Settings:

Leave the 'TTL' field at the default 1 hour.

9. Verify and Save Record:

Check that each field is correct. Then, select 'Save' to finalize.

After completing these steps, refer back to the primary article to finish setting up your custom dashboard domain. Please note, changes to DNS settings can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate across the internet.

Note: This guide is for users utilizing Ionos. If your domain is hosted by another provider, the process might differ. Please consult your provider's support documentation or contact their support team for precise instructions.
