Our platform offers you the convenient ability to change your company’s dashboard to a custom domain of your choosing. This guide will provide easy-to-follow instructions on how to set up your domain with HostGator.
Set Up Your Custom Dashboard Domain with HostGator
Log in to your HostGator account.
Locate the Domains section and select “Zone Editor”.
Enter and select the domain name you wish to use for your dashboard.
Select “Manage”.
Click on “+ CNAME Record” within the Zone Editor. This should enable CNAME as the record type.
In the Name field, add a prefix for your subdomain. The prefix is what appears before the original domain name, e.g. XXXXX.dashboardmode.com (this example is the temporary domain we use until you set up your custom domain name).
Leave the TTL field as the default option.
In the Record field, enter “s.dashboardmode.com”.
Verify that each field is correct. Then, select “Add Record” to finalize.
After completing these instructions, head back to the original help article to finish setting up your custom dashboard domain.
