Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up Your Custom Dashboard Domain with DreamHost

1. Access DreamHost:

Log into your DreamHost account.

2. Navigate to Domains:

On the left-hand side of the page, select 'Domains'.

3. Manage Domains:

A drop-down list will appear. Select 'Manage Domains'.

4. Select Desired Domain:

Find the domain you wish to use and select the DNS link below it.

5. Locate 'Add a Custom DNS Record':

Scroll down the page until you locate a section titled 'Add a Custom DNS Record'.

6. Add Subdomain Prefix:

In the 'Name' field, add a prefix for your subdomain. The prefix is what appears before the original domain name. For example, if you were configuring the domain for dash.mydomain.com, you would input 'dash' in the 'Name' field.

7. Choose Record Type:

In the 'Type' field, select 'CNAME'.

8. Input Value:

In the 'Value' field, enter 's.dashboardmode.com'.

9. Verify and Add Record:

Check that each field is correct. Then, select 'Add Record Now' to finalize.

After completing these steps, refer back to the primary article to finish setting up your custom dashboard domain. Please note, changes to DNS settings can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate across the internet.

Note: This guide is for users utilizing DreamHost. If your domain is hosted by another provider, the process might differ. Please consult your provider's support documentation or contact their support team for precise instructions.
