Your deal cards allow you to completely customize the type of information displayed as well as where it is displayed on your screen. This is useful as each user that has access to the deal card can customize the page view without affecting others’ browsing experience.

This guide will walk you through how to create custom properties.

Accessing the Deal Card

  1. Within the Deals application, navigate to the My Deals tab.

  2. Then, locate the deal you wish to explore within your sales pipeline. Click on the name of the deal in blue.

Note - Many of these values are always in the system by default. You will only be able to permanently delete custom values, which we will cover in the next section.

How to Create a Custom Property

At the top of this page, click on the button that says + New Property.

A menu will pop in from the right titled Create Property.

You are required to enter two types of information to define your new property. The first is the Name of this value whereas the second is the type of information it will require. Here’s an example below:

After selecting our values, we will get a small preview below:

There are additional Field Types for you to select for your new property. We will quickly go through what each one does:

  • Single-Line Text - This is a single-line text box that will accept any text entry as a valid response.

  • Multi-Line Text - This is a larger text box that otherwise functions the same as the former.

  • Number - This field accepts numerical entries only.

  • Phone Number - This field accepts numerical entries in the standard telephone format only. You will be able to select a nationality so that you can format the number accordingly.

  • Website - This requires an entry in the standard URL format (www.mywebsite.com)

  • Email Address - This requires an entry in the format of an email, i.e. [email protected].

  • Dropdown Option - This option allows you to name the field and add multiple dropdown options. Click the + button to add new options to select.

  • Yes/No - This allows users to select Yes or No as a response.

  • Multiple Checkbox - This allows you to add multiple options as a response. Users will be able to select more than one option when completing the field.

  • Date & Time - This creates a menu that allows users to select a date and time from a calendar and clock widget.

  • Date Picker - This allows users to select a date from a calendar widget.

  • Time Picker - This allows users to select a time from a clock widget.

When you’re satisfied with your new property, click Create at the bottom of the page.

You can now locate your new properties at the bottom of either list. It will automatically be added to your view by default. You can also Rename the property at any time by clicking on the appropriate button.
