Our platform offers you the ability to import existing contact records by uploading a CSV file. Now, you can do so and automatically tag contacts during import. This article will focus on how to tag your contacts during import. For general information on how to import contacts using the Contacts app, click here.

Steps to Tag Contacts During Import

To begin the process of importing your contact information, follow these steps:

  1. Within the Contacts application, click on Import at the top right of the screen.

  2. You will now be given the choice of selecting between People contact information, Business contact information, or Both. Select one and press Continue in the top right corner.

  3. Upload the CSV file as needed and press Continue in the top right corner.

  4. Match up all the fields as needed and press Continue in the top right corner.

  5. This is where we highlight the feature of selecting tags for the import. Select from one of the tags in the dropdown or press on the "+" button to create a new tag. After selecting the tag, press Continue in the top right corner.

Now, all the contacts that you had imported will have the tag that you had selected or no assigned tag if you chose to omit it.
