Step-By-Step Guide to Associating People and Businesses to a Deal

1. Access Applications Menu:

Hover over the navigation bar to the left of the dashboard and select ‘Deals’.

2. Accessing the Deal Card:

Within the 'Deals' application, navigate to the 'My Deals' tab. Locate the deal you wish to document and click on its name.

3. Associating a Business:

On the deal card, find 'Associated Businesses' on the left-hand side. Expand it by clicking on it. If there are no associated businesses, click on the + icon to the right to add one.

4. Adding a Business Association:

A 'Add Business Association' menu will appear from the right. The dropdown menu under 'Business Name' will display all the business contacts you currently have in the 'Contacts' application. Select the business you want to associate with the deal, then click 'Add'. You can also click 'Add Business' to create a new contact from this menu.

5. Verification of Business Association:

The associated business should now appear under the appropriate section on the left.

6. Associating a Person:

On the same deal card, find 'Associated Person' further down on the left and expand it. If there are no associated persons, click the + icon on the right to add a new one.

7. Adding a Person Association:

An 'Add Person Association' menu will slide in from the right. The dropdown menu will display all personal contacts you have in the 'Contacts' application. Select the appropriate person, then click 'Add'. You can also click 'Add Person' to create a new contact from this menu.

8. Verification of Person Association:

The associated person should now appear under the appropriate section on the left.

9. Check Deal Associations:

Return to the 'Deals' application and locate the modified deal in your pipeline. You should now see icons indicating the associations.
