The Website tab in the Projects application houses a preview and analytics for each sub-account’s website.

This document will walk you through how to access and read these analytics.

Accessing a Website’s Analytics

  1. First, navigate to the Website tab within the Projects app.

  2. Then, select the sub-account you want to review using the column on the left.

  3. The basic overview will appear at the bottom of this page.

  4. If you wish to access more advanced analytics, click the toggle in the top-right corner of the page. You want to switch it to Advanced Analytics.

Reading the Basic Overview

The basic overview will appear on the previous page whenever you have My Website highlighted. Below, we will run through each category and explain what they mean.

  • Published - Websites will generally have the published status by default. This means that the website is active and ready to connect to a custom domain.

  • SSL Active - SSL refers to the SSL Certificate that authenticates your website and protects customer information. If there is a red X, no SSL Certificate is active. If there is a green checkmark, you’re all set.

  • Domain Active - This indicates whether or not the website is connected to a domain. If there is no domain connected, you will not be able to find your website online.

  • ID - Every website in our system has an ID by default. This is mostly for internal purposes and allows you to locate your website quickly in the event of an issue.

  • Total Views - This keeps track of your total website views since it’s been active in this account.

  • Form Submissions - This shows the overall total of your received form submissions.

  • Click to Call - This tracks how many times users utilize your click-to-call links.

  • Map Clicks - This tracks how many times users click on your website’s map to find the business location.

Reading the Advanced Analytics

The Advanced Analytics tab not only charts out additional metrics for the website but will show that data across each day in a given time period.

You can edit the time period you wish to review by utilizing the calendar at the top of the page.

You can utilize the pre-defined periods on the left to quickly customize your analytics tracking. Alternatively, you can select a custom period by using the first mouse click to select your start date and the second click to select your end date. Each graph will update accordingly to reflect the changes.

Visits

'Visits' shows the total number of visits to your website within the designated time period. Each date is listed across the X-axis with the actual visitor count along the Y-axis. You can also the total count at the top of this graph.

Visitors

'Visitors' shows the number of unique visitors to the website in the designated time period. Each date is listed across the X-axis with the unique visitor count along the Y-axis. You can also the total count at the top of this graph.

Page Views

'Page Views' details the total number of individual page views your site received during the designated period. Each date is listed across the X-axis with the page view count along the Y-axis. You can also the total count at the top of this graph.

Browsers

'Browsers' reveals how many visits your website receives from unique browser types. You can see the visit count along the bottom, while each browser is listed vertically. Each browser can be identified by its designated color.

You can also switch to a table view of this by using the buttons in the top-right corner of the section.

Operating Systems

'Operating Systems' reveals how many visits your website receives from unique operating systems. You can see the visit count along the bottom, while each OS is listed vertically. Each browser can be identified by its designated color.

You can also switch to a table view of this by using the buttons in the top-right corner of the section.

Breakdown of Visits by Country

This map will highlight visits by location during the designated time period. Sections of the map will appear in color as visits tally up along with the number in the top-right corner to match.

There is also a drop-down menu in the top-right corner that allows you to edit this map to show Visits, Visitors, and Page Views. These numbers are also detailed by country in the table below.

Form Responses

Finally, this section will list all of your website’s current form responses.

If you have more than one form on your site, you can use the drop-down in the top-right corner to select the correct one. The table will then update to reflect the new values and information.

You can also quickly export these responses to your desktop by clicking Export in the top-right corner. This will download all form responses as a CSV file.
