Step-By-Step Guide to Building a Funnel Using the Funnels Application

1. Access Applications Menu:

Hover over the navigation bar to the left of the dashboard and select ‘Funnels’.

2. Create New Funnel:

At the top right of the page, press the '+ New Funnel' button.

3. Input Funnel Information:

Within the menu that pops up, input the funnel name. Then, select the Funnel Path Url by selecting the domain from the dropdown and then inputting a custom name for the path. Once complete, press on the 'Create Funnel' button.

Note: You can leave the domain blank if you don't have a domain integrated yet or want to do this at a later time. Doing this will give you a preview link for the funnel, it just won't be connected to a specific domain.

4. Add New Funnel Step:

After creating the funnel, you will now see it on your list of available funnels. Press on the funnel name. Next, press on the 'Add New Funnel Step' button. Within the menu that pops up, input the 'Funnel Step Name' and the Funnel Step Path Url. Once complete, press on the 'Create Funnel Step' button.

5. Add a Section:

Within each funnel step, you can add a section. To do this, select the funnel step that you'd like to edit and then press on the 'Edit' button on the right side of the page. Now, in the left hand column, press on the 'Sections' button. This will give you different sections options that you can add to the page. Select the section that you'd like to add by dragging it to the page or by selecting 'Add New Section' box that's been generated on the page and clicking the option to the left.

6. Add a Row:

After adding the section, the funnel builder will automatically go to the row option. You can manually navigate to the row options by selecting 'Rows' on the left hand column. Select the row options as needed in your funnel step. The row acts as a container for your elements and can be customized to fit your layout needs.

7. Add an Element:

After adding the row, the funnel builder will automatically go to the element option. You can manually navigate to the element options by selecting 'Elements' on the left hand column. This will open up a menu of various elements you can add to your row, such as text, images, buttons, forms, videos, and more. Choose the element you want to add, and it will automatically be placed into your row.

8. Customize Each Section, Row, or Element:

You can customize each section, row, or element on the funnel by hovering in the appropriate section and pressing on the gear icon that appears in the top left right of the section. The 'X-Ray' button at the top right of the page is a useful tool to see how the step is structured with your sections, rows, and elements so you can see how the funnel is working.

Note: Be sure to save your work frequently to avoid any loss of changes made.

Repeat these steps as many times as necessary to create your funnel. You can add as many sections, rows, and elements as you need, and in any order that fits your funnel design.

Next Steps: Preview and Publish Your Funnel

Once you've completed building your funnel, preview your funnel to ensure it looks and works as expected. Click on the 'Preview' button on the top right of the funnel builder dashboard to see a live preview of your funnel.

If you're satisfied with your funnel, the next step is to publish it. If you have synced your funnel to a domain, you can set your funnel status to 'Live', so your funnel can be shared and utilized as needed. To set your funnel to 'Live', go back to the main Funnels app page, press on the gear icon next to the funnel, and at the bottom of the menu, use the toggle to set the funnel as live. If you need to perform more tests and do not want your domain to be live, you can set your funnel status to 'Test'. Your funnel will be on 'Test' by default, meaning that your funnel is not accessible via the assigned URL.

Note: To toggle between 'Test' and 'Live' statuses, you must have a domain connected to the funnel. Otherwise, your funnel will remain on 'Test' and only accessible via a preview link. The toggle for 'Test' and 'Live' statuses is a useful tool if you want to unpublish your funnel that's been integrated with a domain so you can make changes, don't need the funnel anymore, or any other reason.
