Understanding Templates

A template refers to a pre-formatted document or design set up for future use. These come in handy for collecting information from various potential clients or customers. Templates aid in automating messaging for reaching out to prospects at different marketing stages, thus saving time and effort.

Accessing the Templates App

Access Applications Menu:

Hover over the navigation bar to the left of the dashboard and select ‘Templates’.

Step-By-Step Guide to Navigating the Templates App

This section provides a brief overview of the different tabs and sections in the Templates app.

1. Templates:

The 'Templates' tab displays all pre-loaded templates and relevant data including:

  • Template Type (SMS or Email)

  • Template Name

  • Description (Brief details of the template)

By hovering over the template, you can see 'Preview' and 'Create' options.

2. My Templates:

The 'My Templates' tab displays all templates that you have created and relevant data including:

  • Template Type (SMS or Email)

  • Template Name

  • Description (Brief details of the template)

  • Date Created

  • Last Modified (Time of the last edit)

By hovering over the template, you can see 'Preview', 'Edit', 'Duplicate' and 'Delete' options.

3. Email:

Click the Email tab to filter and display your email templates only.

4. SMS:

Click the SMS tab to filter and display your SMS templates only.

5. Search Existing Templates:

Use the Search Template function above your list of templates to quickly locate your templates. Type in the template's name, and the page will begin to autofill with matching suggestions.

6. Create New Templates:

Next to the search bar (while on the 'My Templates', 'Email', or 'SMS' tabs), find a box with an icon that says '+ New Template'. Clicking the button reveals two new options: 'Email Template' and 'SMS Template'. Choose either to start the template creation process.

7. Customizing Your Template App View:

The Templates app allows several customization options. These include:

  • Table vs Board View - Swap between standard table view and board view by selecting the option at the top of the page.

  • Items per Page - Adjust how many templates appear in the list per page by using the option in the bottom right corner. You can display 25, 50, or 100 templates per page. Navigate to the next page by clicking the arrow or number at the bottom center.

  • Additional Personalization Options - Customize the page layout by selecting the 'Manage Columns' button found between the '+ New Template' and 'Settings' buttons. You can select the data columns to display information within your list and rearrange their order.
