Step-By-Step Guide to Installing Live Chat on Your Sites Website
This guide provides the instructions you need to install the live chat on your Sites website using the Conversations App. For information about generating the script for your site, see the primary help article.
1. Access Website Editor:
Navigate to your website editor within the dashboard. Locate the site where the live chat will be installed, and select the 'Edit' option.
2. Select SEO & Settings:
Once inside the editor, find and click on the 'SEO & Settings' tab.
3. Access Head HTML:
A sub-menu will appear once you select 'SEO & Settings'. In this sub-menu, locate and select the 'Head HTML' option.
4. Enter Live Chat Script:
Upon selecting 'Head HTML', you will see two options, one for 'Body end HTML' and one for 'Head HTML'. Input the script that you copied from the Conversations App into the 'Body end HTML' box.
5. Save the Changes:
After inputting the script, locate and click the blue 'Save' button to keep the changes.
6. Republish Your Site:
To make these changes go live, you need to republish your site.
7. Check the Live Chat Functionality:
After successfully republishing your site, navigate to the website to confirm if the live chat bubble appears at the bottom of the site.
Note: If you can't see the live chat bubble, double-check your steps and make sure you've copied the correct script from the Conversations App.
