Step-By-Step Guide to Installing Live Chat on Your GoDaddy Website
Follow these steps to install live chat on your GoDaddy website after you have generated your script using the Conversations App.For information about generating the script for your site, see the primary help article.
1. Access GoDaddy Dashboard:
Log into GoDaddy and navigate to the Products page. Scroll down to the 'Websites + Marketing' section. Find the correct site and click 'Manage'.
2. Open Website Builder:
Click the 'Edit Website' button to open your website builder.
3. Select Page and Location for Code:
Navigate to the page and location where you want to add your custom code. Click on '+Add Section'.
4. Find HTML Option:
Search for the 'HTML' option by typing 'html' in the search bar. Once found, click the 'Add' button.
5. Input Custom Code:
Enter your generated script into the 'Custom Code' section.
6. Publish Changes:
When you have finished entering your code, click the 'Publish' button at the top of the page.
7. Check Live Chat Functionality:
Navigate to your site to see if the live chat bubble appears at the bottom of the page.
Note: If you don't see the live chat bubble, make sure you've correctly entered the script and it is placed on each page where you want the live chat function. Since the GoDaddy builder doesn't provide a global option, you'll have to manually add the section to each desired page.
